The spokesman for the Republican Hospital of Panevėžys, Vytautas Riaubiškis, stated that the nurse had COVID-19, but that the cause of death was serious comorbidities.
B. Malinauskaitė graduated from Panevėžys A. Domaševičius Faculty of Medicine in 1993 and that same year began working in the Department of Endocrinology at the Republican Hospital of Panevėžys and, from 1994, in the Department of Urology as a practical nurse general.
“All the attention and expertise has been devoted to patient care, benevolent advice, friendly and collegiate communication,” the hospital’s website said.
B. Malinauskaitė will lie down today for eternal rest.
It will be recalled that this is the fourth victim of COVID-19 in the Republican Hospital of Panevėžys.
As we announced last week, the coronavirus took the lives of two nurses. The medical pandemic was unforgiving.
Regina Gaižutienė, a senior nurse in the hospital’s Urology Department, died on January 10.
Last year, almost before Christmas, Vilija Briedelytė, a nurse from the first cardiology department of Panevėžys hospital, left for Anapilin.
In early January, the coronavirus also claimed the life of another employee of the Panevėžys Hospital.
