“Coronavirus tests (COVID-19) carried out by a team of Lithuanian experts and doctors, who returned yesterday from the humanitarian mission in Armenia, showed that they were not infected with this virus. Tests for the 12 team members: negative!

Thanks to our country’s team, which will continue to isolate itself, observing the necessary security requirements for 14 days, giving an example of how to behave when returning from countries with a high incidence of coronavirus, ”writes A.Veryga.

According to the minister, this confirms that even in the presence of an outbreak of coronavirus, among sick patients and doctors, the proper use of personal protective equipment, conscious surveillance, storage and compliance with regulations prevent the spread of the virus.

The humanitarian mission in Armenia lasted two weeks. The Spartan Air Force transport plane, which had flown eight doctors and three experts, landed in Šiauliai on Saturday night.

Mission participants now face 14 days of isolation.
