The doctor worked at Kaunas Panemunė Nursing and Supportive Care Hospital. According to his colleagues, the doctor did not wait for the COVID-19 vaccination.
The death of another doctor was also reported earlier. Ignas Mėlynis, a GP at the Krekenava outpatient clinic, died of coronavirus.
According to Sekundė, according to I. Mėlynis’s colleague, Dr. Nijolė Lekarauskienė, in September this year the deceased would have celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of the doctor’s work.
