“All mothers and newborns who have given birth in the past are isolated and safe and continue to receive care. Newly requested mothers are referred to other maternity hospitals,” Ž Gedrimaitė explained.
According to the Delfi portal, mothers who are not at risk are offered to choose to give birth in Vilnius maternity homes, and those with concomitant diseases or serious pathologies – Santara Clinic of Vilnius University Hospital (VUL).
We remind you that at the beginning of December all treatment services in the pavilion of the Vilnius City Clinical Hospital, located at 57 Antakalnio Street, were suspended. This pavilion is only intended for the treatment of people with COVID-19 diseases.
The Vilnius Republican University Hospital and the VUL Santara Clinics took over the provision of planned treatment services and emergency care.

The VUL Santara Clinic reported Thursday that although there is a treatment facility that organizes the flow of COVID-19 patients in the Vilnius region and treats the most complex cases of coronavirus infection, other vital services are still provided here.
Transplant, emergency surgery, interventional cardiology, and stroke treatment services at the Santara clinics were not interrupted during either the first or second waves.
