Minister A. Veryga announced that a new coronavirus testing strategy has been developed.
“A new coronavirus testing strategy has been developed and developed and preventive studies have been separated. Starting June 1, it will be confirmed that these investigations will be conducted under the new procedure. <...> As I have mentioned, the preventive tests will be carried out according to the epidemiological indicators of the municipality. In other words, the municipality is evaluated as high or low risk. Taking this into account, in those municipalities whose municipalities are high risk, where morbidity is higher than the Lithuanian average, the staff of medical institutions, as well as patients, care and nursing staff, with the exception of institutions of child care, will undergo periodic checks. And if we talk about low-risk municipalities, there will be more randomly selected surveys after a few employees to monitor the situation, but it will definitely be a much smaller number. ” A. Veryga presents innovation.
“We believe that this strategy will allow for a more accurate evaluation and monitoring of the situation and, as demonstrated by the experience of some other countries and what international experts say, we need to be more specific and specific areas where there is a higher risk of infection” . , – added the minister.
