According to Justina Petravičienė, specialist in the Vilnius Department of the NVSC, Delfi stated that at present it is not possible to provide much information on these cases.
“Our specialists really work in these educational institutions, but we really don’t know anything about the specific number of cases and the isolated people.”
According to her, the cases and the information are completely new and to be able to comment on something in a very specific way, you have to know everything exactly.
“So far, I know that the cases will be identified, because our specialists are already working there, but I cannot name anything very specific.”
According to J. Petravičienė, an epidemiological study is now being carried out and the goal is to determine the number of people exposed, as it determines who should be isolated, but that study has not yet been completed.
“Soon everything will be finished for the night and then we can say something more specific. However, these cases are completely new, we have not published them because today they have been confirmed as new cases, so the statistics published today will not be included, but already tomorrow. Now our specialists are really working to prevent the infection from spreading.
