According to the Statistics Department on Sunday morning, according to preliminary data, 12 people infected with coronavirus died last day: three women and nine men. Four more deaths that were included in the statistics last day were recorded earlier.
Most of the deaths on the last day, five, were in the age group 70 to 79 years. Three of them were between 80 and 89 years old, two between 90 and 99 years old.
One death belonged to the age groups 50-59 and 60-69 years.
Statistics from Lithuania indicate that “the number of deaths in the last day is preliminary and increases between 20 and 40 percent in a few days.”
The general mortality statistics include four more deaths from coronavirus when the actual date of death is earlier.
They are two women and two men. Three of them were between 70 and 79 years old and one between 80 and 89 years old.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in Lithuania reached 182,539. The total number of deaths was 2803.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 129,175 people have recovered. There are still 48,386 sick.
The day before, 5,701 samples were tested for suspected coronavirus. A total of 1,927,637 samples have been analyzed to date.
Last day, 191 people were vaccinated with the first dose of the vaccine and 362 people were vaccinated with the second dose. A total of 71,323 people were vaccinated with the first dose of the vaccine and 21,102 people with both doses. Currently, 50,221 people are waiting for a second dose of the vaccine. A total of 92,425 doses of vaccine were used.
