Coronavirus in Kaunas: how many patients and how many recovered?

According to epidemiological data recorded at 10 am this Wednesday, a total of 881 people have the COVID-19 infection in Kaunas. There are 438 people who have recovered from this infection (since the beginning of the pandemic) and 12 deaths.

In Kaunas, a total of 1,331 cases were registered, the lowest number of COVID-19 cases was detected in the group of minors (under 16 years of age). About the same number, according to statistics, are between 17 and 30 years old. and 31 – 40 m. age groups. Together with minors fighting in patients, they represent half of all registered cases. The remaining patients were 41 years of age or older.

As before, now, according to statistics, more than half of the residents of COVID-19 Kaunas are men. In the last 7 days, the number of patients increased by 30.73 percent.

According to Paulius Keras, head of the Kaunas Operations and Emergency Management Center, more public vehicles will be allocated from Wednesday to limit the number of passengers in them, in accordance with quarantine requirements. Much more attention is paid to public catering establishments than before the quarantine; they will be monitored more frequently to ensure the safety of customers and employees under quarantine conditions. At service and event venues, a distance of 2 meters must be guaranteed between visitors, each with an allowance of 10 m2. tide.

So far, the city is still deciding how to organize primary education after the fall break this week. However, all the high school students will already be studying remotely next week. The coronavirus has already entered some schools in Kaunas.
