Last day, two illnesses were diagnosed in employees of a plastic and rubber products manufacturing company operating in Panevėžys. Both individuals do not experience specific symptoms of the coronavirus. A total of three cases have been linked to this outbreak, including those confirmed last day. Seventeen exposed individuals were isolated.

The circumstances of a person’s infection are not yet clear
It is currently unclear how a person became infected in Vilnius County. The person works at the Vilnius City Clinical Hospital, went on vacation for almost the entire month of July, the test for coronavirus infection performed before returning to work was negative, the infection was detected after the second test, when the person experienced characteristic symptoms of the infection. One high-risk exposure and thirty-four low-risk exposures were identified. Both staff and patients undergo prophylactic testing at the institution.
In Lithuania, a total of 2,194 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in specific people, 442 people are still ill, and 1,658 have recovered.
