Conservatives spoke about the “right of initiative” to form power: the great intrigue: who will they call first?

“We still have a situation in which we have little information on the cities and very few neighborhoods are counted. But those signals that we receive with our own signals give rise to a restrained optimism that the result we saw at the beginning (as is traditionally the case in all elections, which changes when cities connect) is now, because of the cautious signals that we receive, it seems that it is probably also change in favor of our party, “said Ingrida Šimonytė, leader of the TS-LKD list.

According to the president of TS-LKD, G. Landsbergis, there are indications that it may happen that soon his party will be the first in terms of results.

“Because most of the rulers say what will happen next, that means. This is probably a symbol of confidence that the party has the right of initiative to speak about the next steps, ”said G. Landsbergis.

In his opinion, a broad coalition is possible. Conservative leaders have yet to mention what exactly this means.

It is not directly responsible for the partners

The TS-LKD leaders also do not respond directly to the question of whether they would see the Labor Party among the coalition partners.

“We are not saying something ‘against’ (…), at the table that would be negotiated by the political forces, it seems to me that there must be room for all the expectations of the electorate. In other words, the people who voted for the parties, for the “peasants,” the Labor Party, other political forces, hope that their expectations will be heard, “Landsbergis said.

According to the leader of the TS-LKD, his voters expect a “fair, non-lying and responsible government.”

“That’s what we can promise,” Landsberg said.

At this stage, TS-LKD leaders do not respond directly to the question of who they will call for consultation upon receiving the initiative.

“First of all, I will see who is in the Seimas and who can be called. Now we are navigating out of the hat because we have to try to guess who could be called. But we will find someone to call,” said I. Šimonytė.

The election of the party president is expected soon

Landsbergis did not respond directly to the question whether he would resign as party chairman if the TS-LKD remained in opposition.

“It’s a very intriguing question – it’s a little early, we go to the second round, then we try to form a government, if the voters decide that we have the right of initiative.

I would like to invite you to a particularly interesting event, which will take place next February, which will be called the election of the president of TS-LKD. They will, in any case, be the end of this election. “The celebration of our democracy always deserves a lot of attention, so there will be an opportunity to discuss these issues,” said G. Landsbergis.

I. Šimonytė, who is not yet part of the party, assured that he would not really stand in those elections.

As already announced, 11:20 pm in 1989, 1,179 published constituency data.

LVŽS remains in first place: 21.09 percent. In second place is TS-LKD (17.78%). In third place is the Labor Party (12.85%). The Lithuanian Social Democratic Party ranks fourth (10.67%). Freedom Party: 6.11 percent. The Liberal Movement: 5.75 percent. Lithuanian Polish electoral campaign: 5.17 percent.
