Conservatives are nominating two more candidates for vice presidents of the Seimas

As we wrote in the press release distributed by TS-LKD, today the first vice president of the Radvilė Morkūnaitė-Mikulėnienė faction and the Seimas member Paulius Saudargas were elected as the faction’s candidates for the vice presidents of the Seimas.

Last week, the Seimas approved Jurgis Razmas, a member of the TS-LKD faction, as the first vice president of the Seimas.

The Freedom Party nominates Vytautas Mitalas for the position of Vice President, the opposition Social Democrats have nominated Julius Sabatauskas and the “peasants” have nominated Aušrinė Norkienė.

On Monday, the president of the Seimas Viktorija Čmilytė – Nielsen proposed to nominate another candidate for the “peasants”, since the candidacy of A. Norkienė cannot collect votes.

The Seimas plans to decide on the deputies of the Seimas president on Tuesday.

The conservative Jurgis Razma was already elected vice president of the Seimas last Friday, he is the first deputy, and Andrius Mazuronis, representative of the Labor Party, has been elected from the opposition.
