“We hope for the best results, but it is important to come and vote. The future of our state is in the hands of the people,” Radvilė Morkūnaitė-Mikulėnienė, one of the party leaders, told reporters.
In the second round in the Pilaitė-Karoliniškės district of the capital, she competes with the prime minister, the leader of the “peasant” list, Saulius Skvernelis.
The conservative candidate is cautious with her chances, she would call the victory over the head of government the success of the entire team.
“I think it is not only mine, but also a team opportunity for our political community. I think that people have partly chosen the course by expressing their preferences in the first round, it only remains to ensure it,” said the conservative candidate.
“The prime minister is, of course, a strong candidate, he cannot say anything. The man has been doing one job or the other for four years and has a great reputation, but I am very confident in the success of our team, ”he added.

His rival in the second round is the candidate of the Freedom Party Brigita Guobė, but the politician himself votes in the Naujoji Vilnia constituency.
Saudargo said that with his potential partners in the center-right coalition, the Freedom Party and the Liberal Movement, he did not see the dividing line in the first place, but what unites it.
He added that the party has a “historic opportunity” to win this year’s elections and secure at least 20 more seats in the second round.
“It just came to our attention then. Where there is strong leadership, I think we will win. I think we can win about 20,” said S. Saudargas.
Mykolas Majauskas, a Conservative candidate in the capital’s Old Town-Žvėrynas district, declared that he would vote for Lithuania, where Ingrida Šimonytė, the leader of the Conservative list, would be prime minister.
54 candidates from the National Christian Democratic Union of Lithuania entered the second round of the Seimas elections, which will take place on October 25.
During the first round, I. Šimonytė, a candidate proposed by this party, was elected a member of the Seimas.
