After the election of two politicians from Klaipėda al Seimas, they should be replaced by other colleagues in the Port City Council. In the next month, Ligita Girskienė should be sworn in by a new candidate from the “peasants” and a representative of the public elections committee “Vytautas Grubliauskas and the team”, who will work in place of Audrius Petrošius, who was elected a member of the Seimas.

Seven members of the Klaipėda City Council participated in the first round of the Seimas elections: Liberals Saulius Budinas (Danish constituency) and Edmundas Kvederis (Mariai constituency), “peasants” – L. Girskienė (Baltic constituency) and Arūnas Andziulis (according to the party list), the conservative A. Petrošius (in the Baltic constituency), as well as his party colleague, Deputy Mayor Klaipėda Arūnas Barbšys (in the Seaside district) and the representative of the Nationalist Party of the Nina Puteikienė Center (in the Baltic district).

Hurry it’s a deceptive satellite, so let’s not keep an eye on the events.

Four of them, A. Barbšys, S. Budinas, L. Girskienė and A. Petrošius, went to the second round of the elections.

After L. Girskienė and A. Petrošius obtained the terms of a member of the Seimas on Sunday, his place on the city council should be taken by other politicians.

L. Girskienė, the representative of “Valstiečių”, should be replaced by Algis Latakas, the head of the Klaipeda State Port Authority, who was still 10th on the list at the time, but the port manager still does not show much enthusiasm .

“Rush is a deceptive satellite, so let’s not anticipate events. I will give my decision when the vacancy in Klaipeda City Council is officially confirmed,” A. Latakas did not say much.

If he resigned as a member of the city council, another “peasant” candidate, Aušra Zarambienė, would be sworn in.

A. Petrošius, who was elected a member of the Seimas with the Conservatives, will not be replaced by a representative of the Lithuanian Christian National-Democratic Union, but by a member of the public elections committee “V. Grubliauskas and Team”, because A. Petrošius won the mandate of a council member with this committee.

V. Grubliauskas and the team received eight seats on the council.

At first, A. Petrošius was not among the chosen ones. His seat was vacated when V. Grubliauskas won the mayoral elections.

However, A. Petrošius remained with the mayor’s team for a short time, about half a year later he joined the Conservatives.

After A. Petrošius won the Seimas elections, he should be replaced by Vidmantas Plečkaitis in the town hall.
