The “Rytas” teams from Vilnius await today the second fight of the Champions League, where Donald Kairis’ students will face the SIG team from Strasbourg.
In the first match “Rytas” 88: 106 landed Athens “Peristeri”, and SIG 77:75 defeated Riga VEF.

The departure of the Strasbourg team was better (9: 4), although Martynas Echodas and Kristjanas Kitsing reduced the difference, and Arnas Butkevičius weighed the result – 10: 9. Now the capital club has continued a good run (16:11), which was interrupted by the incorporation of Yannio Morino. However, Mindaugas Girdžiūnas responded with three points, thanks to which “Rytas” soon took the lead by 9 points (22:13), and managed to finish the fourth with a double digit advantage – 26:16.
In the second half, the SIG began to close the deficit quickly (25:29) and after some three-point teams only 30 points were awarded – 30:31. Finally, DeAndre Lansdowne compared the result (34:34) and Rytas tried to regain at least a small advantage. He managed to do that (38:37), M. Girdžiūnas struck from a distance, and after the second half “Rytas” finally led 48:42.
