“1,167,796 voters, or 47.52 percent of eligible voters, participated in the Seimas elections. Of this number, more than 666 thousand. Are women, 493 thousand. – men. According to the president of the CEC, the young people returned to vote in a more passive way.

“According to the data available to the CEC, the most passive voters are in the age group 25-29,” said L. Matjošaitytė.

23 seats were received by the National Union – Lithuanian Christian Democrats (TS-LKD), 16 seats – by the Lithuanian Green and Peasants Union (LVŽS), 9 seats – by the Labor Party. 8 – The Lithuanian Social Democratic Party (LSDP), the same number of seats in multi-member electoral districts was won by the Freedom Party, which participated in the elections for the first time, and 6 – the Lithuanian Liberal Movement.

The second electoral round will take place in 2 weeks, on October 25.
