Capture the Tesla crash: car crashes at full speed without autopilot

[ad_1]

Videos of the Tesla Model 3 electric car driving on the highway have appeared in public. The Tesla autopilot was allegedly activated at the time, but did not notice the overturned truck lying on the road. The automatic emergency stop did not work either.

The driver was still trying to brake, but it was too late. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

Taiwan English News reports that according to preliminary data from traffic police, Huang, a 53-year-old Tesla driver, claims that his car was driven on autopilot and that the speed was around 110 km / h.

As soon as she saw the overturned truck, Mr. Huang immediately applied the brake, but it was too late to stop the vehicle and she hit the roof of the overturned truck.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time this has happened, and it appears that the Tesla autopilot system faces obstacles in evaluating stationary objects.

Here are some more videos of the accident from various angles. You can see that just a few seconds before impact, smoke is entering. The driver released the Model 3’s brakes, but the obstacle was too close.

It is also interesting that the Model 3 airbags were not deployed during this accident. Then there are even more questions.
