During the implementation of the project of the main highway A1 Vilnius – Kaunas – Klaipėda on the stretch from Vilnius to Kaunas, metal protective barriers were replaced on the strip of the dividing road, fences were installed in part of the network of road sections of wild animals. Acceleration and deceleration lanes have also been rebuilt, roads and pedestrian crossings have been installed at different levels, lighting and other works are being carried out.
The main objective of the reconstruction works carried out in this section is to guarantee road safety requirements that meet the conditions for highways of such intensity.
