“Currently, we have received almost 2,500 requests for non-sanctions from companies whose activities are restricted due to quarantine. The amount of its liabilities, which is expected to defer, currently exceeds 9 million. euros. If the quarantine tightens, more companies will be able to use Sodra’s tax assistance. However, it is important that policyholders inform Sodra that they need tax help, ”says Ježy Miskis, deputy director of Sodra.

Companies that are experiencing difficulties due to operational restrictions during quarantine can ask Sodra to waive sanctions. In the absence of an application, Sodra administers social security contributions in the usual way.

Tax aid is granted under simplified conditions to those companies whose activities are or will be restricted by decision of the Government and which are included in the lists of insured persons affected by the State Tax Inspection (STI) COVID-19.

Restricted companies that have requested the non-application of penalties may not pay contributions and, at the end of the quarantine, may request from Sodra a deferral of accumulated contributions in a simplified manner.

Deferred contributions do not accrue interest or require proof of solvency. Companies can defer contributions (not pay accrued liabilities) for up to one year and then spread the payments over four years.

Sodra also ensured that companies that had already used de minimis state aid were supported.

Contributions that exceed the de minimis threshold established by the European Economic Community (EEC) may also be deferred without interest. However, companies will have to submit a recovery plan and pay deferred contributions exceeding de minimis state aid no later than the end of 2022.
