SBGS officials already knew that illegal cargo could be handled here. The arrest of the man by border guards revealed that he was a 29-year-old Belarusian citizen. He was carrying 740 packs of Minsk Capital QS cigarettes with Belarusian stamps in the bag, SBGS reports.
As it turned out, a 28-year-old Belarusian citizen was sitting in the car. He disobeyed the legitimate demand of the border guards to get out of the car. SBGS officers had to break the driver’s door window and use physical force to stop the alien.
In the constructions of the two freight station wagons at Radviliškis railway station, SBGS officials found another 1430 cigarettes from the same “Minsk Capital QS” pack with special Belarusian markings. Throughout the operation, the detained Belarusians were suspected of taking 2,170 packages of illegal smokers. The convoy had previously arrived in Lithuania from Belarus.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched at the Pagėgiai border team of the SBGS in relation to the illegal disposal of excise goods. Foreigners face up to four years in prison or prison. The border guards detained them. Both Belarusians have been legally in the EU since September.

On Sunday, SBGS officials also found 760 packages of Minsk cigarettes with special Belarusian brands in the construction of a wagon parked at the Radviliškis train station. As a result, administrative procedures have been initiated.
