Spread of the virus. Three new cases of coronavirus have been identified during the day: the first is related to a sick, murdered man, the second is imported from Tajikistan, and the circumstances of another are still unclear. One person died: a patient over 70 years old from the Santara clinics, infected with a relative. This is the 79th victim of the virus in the country. Currently, seven patients are being treated in hospitals. After evaluating morbidity indicators, plans are to intensify preventive investigation of residents of Vilnius and Radviliškis districts next week.

New drug. The European Commission granted an official authorization for the antiviral medicine remdesivir for the treatment of coronavirus infection COVID-19.
