Elections in the United States. Preliminary results suggest that the winner of the US presidential election will be determined by a very small margin. To be declared the winner, a candidate must obtain an absolute majority of 270 out of 538 votes in the Electoral College College. Trump also said there was “large-scale fraud” in the vote count. The results could be determined by votes from six states where the winner is not yet known with certainty. According to 16 Hours Lithuanian Time, Biden has a slight advantage in Michigan, Nevada and Wicksonsin, while Trump has an advantage in Georgia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. The vote count was slowed by the high turnout in the early coronavirus pandemic.

Coronavirus situation:
* 639 new cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed in Lithuania, seven infected people died. In hospitals, 676 people are treated for COVID-19, 57 of them in resuscitation.
* Records of coronavirus cases and deaths from COVID-19 have been reported in neighboring Poland and Latvia. In Poland, 24.7 thousand people were infected per day. 373 people died, 313 and six in Latvia, respectively.
* To stop the spread of the virus, throughout Italy from Thursday at 10 pm the night curfew is introduced.
VPN guide. President Gitanas Nausėda has appointed Darius Vedrickas, the current head of the Central Procurement Authority, to act as director of the Public Procurement Office. He will be appointed for a four-year term from December 1.

The Constitutional Court has recognized that the Constitution conflicts with some other laws that establish specific pre-financing of various funds and programs, establishing their amount as a certain percentage of excise duties and taxes.

Sanctions for Lukashenko. The European Union has decided to impose sanctions on the unrecognized President of Belarus, Aliaksandr Lukashenko, and 14 others for electoral fraud and violence against their citizens.
Paris Agreement. The United States formally withdrew from the Paris Climate Agreement and became the first country to do so. In the event of an election victory, Biden could reverse that decision. If Trump wins the election, individual US states, cities and companies can take the lead in protecting the climate.
