The farm hostess, who picked apples in the garden over the weekend, failed to gather the crop when an angry friend grabbed a knife and hit the woman directly in the neck with a stab. Drunk on blood, the 66-year-old Jotainiai resident managed to run to the neighbor’s yard, but collapsed and died soon.
“He ran down that track, his son came, he says that if he squeezed the artery, it was like here, he hurt his neck. But they have come a long way, from the pond, he thinks, they came here screaming, they have come a long way, ”says neighbor Pranas Šimkus.

Doctors arrived and found the woman dead, and police arrested the oldest, suspected of murder. He didn’t hide, he was intoxicated. And the eldest, who was brought to court to arrest him, was asked why he had killed his friend and did not say much.
“It came out like this,” said Vytautas Samulis, a murder suspect.
“People say that she wanted to get rid of him. This is, of course, if 0.6 has found alcohol. It was he who was still sober before they took him away, before he starved. The neurons are already mature. Then he seemed to get hurt, ”says P. Šimkus.
“As he himself said, he wanted to scare her, but the consequences are quite sad, he fully admits his guilt and regrets it,” says lawyer Arvydas Alekna.
The court allowed the detention of a man from the Panevėžys district for up to 3 months. It turned out that a respectable retiree has already been convicted of violence against a former roommate and his loved ones.
“The suspect was found guilty of violence in May this year. As for the threat to kill a woman, no, it was other people,” said the prosecutor Donatas Skrebiškis.
The suspect had known the murdered woman for several months. The long-term accountant at the Jotainiai welfare home in Panevėžys district was married to the deceased’s sister.
The gruesome death of the colleague shocked the team, after the weekend co-workers lit a candle, soaked nearby flowers, several white carnation flowers were left in the office. The grieving co-workers were only shocked that the woman who buried the seriously ill man three years ago hadn’t said anything about the new friend.

“That day, there was a conflict between the victim, according to the suspect, the victim recently wanted him to no longer live with her,” says D. Skrebiškis.
So far, officials have been unable to find the tool of the crime: a knife. A retiree faces up to 15 years in prison for intentional murder.
