“The situation is that what we see is a hybrid attack and those processes that occur in the context of illegal migration, where our capacities are openly concentrated at the border, at the facilities, and those unauthorized initiatives take place, (… ) well- organized, anti-state activity when we have to divert the forces of our officials from other objects, it can be unequivocally treated as a well-organized process, ”A. Bilotaitė told reporters at the Seimas on Tuesday night.
The minister noted that at night, when protests were taking place near the Seimas, riots had also broken out in Rūdininkai: some 20 migrants had fled the landfill where the illegal immigrants were staying.
All, he said, were detained and returned.
“The forces are reinforced to the maximum, but I want to point out that what happens to the parliament when we have to mobilize our forces from all over Lithuania and take them from other objects, shows damage and goes against the state,” A. Bilotaitė emphasized.
He reiterated that organized action is an attempt to cause discomfort.
“The Lithuanian Parliament is the representation of the nation, where very important decisions are made. (…) Such actions show that it is well organized and deliberately acts against the Lithuanian state,” the minister emphasized.
Speaking about the possible organizers of the protest, A. Bilotaitė said that she believed that the presentation, that the event was organized by a single teacher, was just a cover.
“It seems that they are much better organized, planned and coordinated, because the processes that take place in Rūdninkai and here are not just for themselves. Also, considering the decisions that were made today in the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania ”, pointed out A. Bilotaitė.
The Minister noted that the police had launched a pre-trial investigation into the organization of the disturbances.
“We are responsible for this for up to 6 years. Those who incited to incite the riots will have to answer for it. To my knowledge, there are already detainees and tomorrow we will receive clear information on specific actions of the police, (…) because we cannot tolerate that legally and democratically, ”said A. Bilotaitė.
As far as she knows, the police have arrested 5 or 6 people, but this information, as the minister emphasized, will still be clarified.
