When asked what the message of Thursday’s coup was, Biden replied: “You cannot act with impunity.”

“I believe, and hope, that this message has been received,” Blinken said.
Syria called the blows “cowardly American aggression.”
“This is a bad sign for the policy of the new US administration, which must follow international standards,” the Syrian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned these “illegal attacks” and called them “a clear violation of human rights and international law”.
The blows by the US aviation “will intensify military conflicts and further destabilize the region,” said a spokesman for the Foreign Ministry.
