In the semi-finals, both clubs fell with almost identical results: “Juventus” 73:84 fell to Panevėžys “Lietkabelius”, and “Neptūnas” fell 72:84 against Kaunas “Žalgiris”.
The teams have already met twice in the Lithuanian Basketball League (Betsafe-LKL). The intrigues were not lacking, but the two strongest times were Utena’s: 85:84 at home and 97:88 on the go.
Both teams can get on the podium after a longer break. Neptūnas won bronze in 2016, and the last two times they were fourth, while Juventus made it to the final four only once and then won bronze (2017).
