The farewell of Aurelijus Katkevičius takes place until 4 pm at 22 Oland calle Street, Vilnius Funeral Home, the first room of the armory. The urn will be removed at 4 pm, the funeral will take place at the Liepynpy Cemetery.
For the past few years, A. Katkevičius has been fighting cancer diseases. He was diagnosed with cancer.
A. Katkevičius was editor of the magazine “Verslo klasė”, blogger, polyglot and one of the first specialists in public relations in Lithuania.
1970-1981 studied at Marijampolė Rygiškės Jonas Gymnasium, 1981-1986. He studied at the Faculty of Philology at Vilnius University. 1990-1992 Advisor to the President of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Lithuania – Vytautas Landsbergis. 1992-1993 Consultant for the Danish consultancy Fyns erhvervsrad, 1993-1995. Vice President of the Lithuanian-Danish joint venture Linea artis. Journalist from the Department of Literature and Art Criticism, responsible for the weekly “Veidas” editor.
Together with former fellow journalists of the publication “Veidas”, he established a public relations agency UAB “DDB & Co. and Katkevičius.” During the presidential elections of the Republic of Lithuania, he created the image of Rolandas Paksas, one of the advisers of most important image during the presidency of R. Paksas, public consultant to the President on information management issues, who advised R. Paksas.
Heads of State expressed their condolences on the loss of A. Katkevičius, and many famous journalists, public relations specialists and other famous people shared their memories of this extraordinary personality on social media.
