The incident took place at the intersection of J.Basanavičiaus and Vilniaus streets, which was not regulated by a traffic light at the time. Audi and Toyota have met here. The Audi driver, who caused the accident, said after the accident that he crossed the intersection while driving down a side street in Vilnius.
According to the guy, he was going to drive straight in the first lane, but due to cars parked in the second and third lanes and planning to turn left, he didn’t realize Toyota was coming from downtown on Main Street. Thus, such a risky maneuver without guaranteeing your safety ended in a serious collision.
Toyota hit the side of the Audi. The last car crashed into a street fence, while Toyota remained stopped at an intersection.
There were no casualties in the Toyota car – the inflated airbags protected it from injury. At the time, an Audi driver was complaining of pain in his side after the accident.
