The young woman assured that everyone in the village knew each other and that strangers would poach here, it was unlikely.
“I saw two men walking. One was carrying a bag and the other had something in his hand. Apparently, not a single deer was captured that day. Somehow we thought we had to call, tell someone, but we were scared because we knew each other in town.

Informed department
Rinkos aikštė immediately sent all the information and evidence recorded to the Department of Environmental Protection.
The journalist was contacted by Darius Jurevičius, head of the Kaunas Wildlife Protection Inspectorate of this department.
Environmentalists have set out to investigate this particularly brutal and daring poaching case.

The Department of the Environment recalls that hunting with rings is strictly prohibited as it causes an extremely painful death to the animals.
