The 29-year-old Lithuanian wins an impressive final at the ITF men’s tennis tournament in Tunis on Sunday Laurynas Grigelis (ATP-473).

Without a doubt in the most dramatic game of the season, L. Grigelis will fight at 3 hours and 27 minutes 5: 7, 7: 5, 7: 6 (10: 8) defeated the polish Danielį Michalskį (ATP-442). These tennis players played against each other for the first time.

L. Grigelis started the final well, breaking the tie 5: 2, but then lost three consecutive series of his passes, and the Pole, who was 5: 0, won the set. In the second set, D. Michalski started much better (4: 1, 5: 2). The Pole, leading 40: 0, was above the point of victory, but L. Grigelis miraculously saved, won a series of rivals, then tied the score, made another “break point” and won the set incredibly.

The tennis thriller also continued in the third set. The Poles made a better start again (4: 2, 5: 3), but in the ninth game they lost their series of innings and dispersed the lead, and L. Grigel started overtime. An unpredictable fight continued in him again. L. Grigelis squandered the chance to finish the game with his submission, then D. Michalskis didn’t realize the same chances. Then the Lithuanian broke 9: 8, finally made no mistakes during his innings and won the tennis thriller.

The Pole made 21 (!) Break points in the final, of which he achieved 5 (Lithuanian – 5 out of 10). L.Grigelis made 18 irresistible passes, and the opponent – 4.

L. Grigelis won the 15th consecutive victory in the unit competition and won the 3rd title in 3 weeks. He received 10 ATP unit rating points. In total, the Lithuanian has already won 27 professional unit tournaments. 26 of them are from the ITF and 1 from the ATP Challenger.

We remind you that in the doubles competition L. Grigelis with Luku Mugevičius reached the final in which 4: 6, 4: 6 did not resist against Estonia Vladimir Ivanov and russian Alibeka Kačmazova. The Lithuanians scored 6 double ATP rating points each. During his career, L. Grigelis has won 32 professional doubles tournaments (12 ATP Challenger and 20 ITF series), and L. Mugevičius has 16 doubles titles (all in ITF tournaments).
