ASVEL swept the Athens club after launching a space three-point volley

The assured victory in the Euroleague was achieved by the USEL of Wilerban (3/6), at home 97:73 (20:17, 24:13, 24:21, 29:22) defeated the Panathinaikos Club of Athens (3/7).

The French team started more solidly, gaining a double-digit lead (44:30) before the long break, which then only grew. As soon as the fourth quarter started, it was clear that Panathinaikos was in a mess.

The MVP of the match has become David lighty, scored 19 points in 20 minutes (6/9 from two points, 2/2 from three points, 1/1 from free throw), bounced 3 balls, made 2 assists and scored 22 utility points.

ASVEL just scored fabulously 3-pointers in this game: 17/24 (71 percent accurate). TJParker students even came close to the all-time record set by Barcelona Barcelona in 2003 against Cibona de Zagreb – 11/13 (85 percent).

The 17 scored three points is a record for the French club in the Euroleague. Interestingly, the previous record was also set against the Greek team, Piraeus Olympiacos, in 2003 with 14 long shots.

ASVEL continued the hot streak after beating Barcelona in the last round. Panathinaikos, meanwhile, are still hanging, the only win in the last six rounds.

Shelvin Mack was unable to help the Greek club as he was not yet a member of the team in the third round of the Euroleague where the match was to be played.

The match was judged by Lithuanian Jurgis Laurinavičius together with Serbian Ilija Beloševičius and Pole Jakubas Zamojskis.
