As he said, today he will sign an order that will complement the population groups to be vaccinated with the inclusion of the President of the Republic of Lithuania, members of the Seimas and members of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania.
“To show confidence in the AstraZeneca vaccine, we agreed that the President of the Republic of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda, Seimas spokesperson Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė and I will be publicly vaccinated on Monday,” Dulkys announced.
He noted that he would use their example to increase confidence in AstraZeneca and vaccinate all members of the Seimas and the Government.
The minister also announced that vaccination with the vaccine will resume on Friday and those who wish will be able to choose which vaccine to vaccinate.
The decision follows the conclusions of the European Medicines Agency on Thursday that the AstraZeneca vaccine is “safe and effective”, despite reports of blood clots in some people who have been vaccinated.
