According to the Russian news agency TASS, Yerevan’s National Security Service claims that members of an unspecified group have been detained and a cache of weapons has been found.

A group whose members opposed the prime minister’s domestic and foreign policy allegedly planned to assassinate him and take power.

On Tuesday this week, Pashinian announced a peace agreement with Azerbaijan brokered by Moscow, which ended six weeks of fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh.

The agreement was welcomed in Azerbaijan and Armenia was outraged. Under the agreement, Armenia has officially lost some areas of the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region.

There were protests in Armenia. The protesters demand the resignation of N. Pašiniano and call him a traitor.
