“I have set a goal of raising that level in a hundred days. We will have to study further, but this is normal, I think, ”A. Anušauskas told BNS on Friday.

He said that he is currently learning English formally at Power User Level B2, but is valued more modestly.

“People who do not speak English, if we count according to the ten-point system, then, in my opinion, they speak English for eight,” said the candidate for ministers.

“I grade myself on average – five. It is necessary to improve spoken language skills and that is normal,” he added.

According to him, this should not interfere with the minister’s work.

A. Anušauskas says that his knowledge of the Russian language has slightly deteriorated.

“Each language requires communication, hard work. I had to give an interview yesterday, I have to say that I thought that my knowledge of the Russian language had dropped from level C to B2,” said A. Anušauskas.

He also said that more efforts would be needed with French, which was his main foreign language.

“I will definitely have something to do to improve the languages,” said the candidate for Minister of National Defense.

Besides French, Russian and English, A. Anušauskas also stated that he had to study Latvian, Polish and Ukrainian.
