According to the Ministry of National Defense, this weaponry will significantly strengthen the capabilities and combat power of the Lithuanian Armed Forces.
Grenades will be distributed to teams of the Voluntary National Defense Forces and all infantry units will be equipped with new weapons.
M72 LAW grenade launchers are designed to destroy enemy forces’ armored combat equipment, field engineering fortifications. A weapon weighs up to 5 kilograms, a soldier can carry it, ready to fire and shoot from different positions.
These weapons have been tested under combat conditions in US and allied operations in Iraq and Afghanistan and during other conflicts.
