R. Jasiulionis, 50, is a graduate actor, belongs to the Vilnius Chamber Theater, has acted in the television series “Uninvited Love”, “Road Home”, “Gedimino 11”, “The taste of snow”.
He recently worked for Laisvės TV and Žinių radio, leading news and political conversations.
In 2009 R. Jasiulionis was a spokesperson for the then Conservative Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius, and for four months headed the Department of Public Information in the Prime Minister’s Office.
R. Jasiulionis has also edited the weekly Atgimimas.
A. Zabarauskas’ resignation from the Presidency was announced last week. The press release states that it will return to the private sector. At the same time, national security and education advisers have also changed.
