Angry F. Kirkorov did not complain about the entry ban; the Vilnius court did not accept the complaint.

The court decided on Friday not to accept this complaint because it was not motivated and the deadline for the Migration Department to present its response to the decision had not yet expired, VAR representative Audris Kutrevičius informed BNS.

The court noted that the decisions of the Department of Migration are appealed from the date of their notification to the applicant, regardless of the time it takes to notify such decision to a person.

The Russian singer’s lawyer, Linas Makaveckas, told BNS last week that she approached the court without receiving a report from the Migration Department.

The department has also not responded to the lawyer’s request for full information, on the basis of which F. Kirkorov has become undesirable in Lithuania.

According to the law, when addressing a court, the applicant must also present the contested act with the complaint.

“In this case, the applicant and his representative do not present and cannot present such a document, nor can they specify the object of the claim and indicate the factual basis of the complaint, which would allow the general administrative dispute to be individualized. says VAAT.

On the other hand, it points out that once the alleged deficiencies have been corrected, the performer and his lawyer may file the complaint again.

On February 15, the Vilnius Regional Administrative Court received a request from L. Makaveckas, lawyer for the Russian and Bulgarian citizen R. Kirkorov, to demand a decision from the Migration Department on the inclusion of the singer on the “black” list and to cancel it.

“We only learned that information from the public sphere (about the entry ban – BNS). As a lawyer, I asked the Migration Department in writing on February 5, but we received no response. And time passes (…) We have no arguments, we have no motivation, that’s why this complaint continues without arguments, ”said the BNS lawyer.

On January 19, at the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Migration Department added the Russian artist F. Kirkorov to the list of undesirable people in Lithuania. The ban on the artist coming to Lithuania is valid for five years.

According to Foreign Minister Gabriel Landsbergis, the well-known artist, during his repeated visits to the illegally annexed Crimean peninsula, “deliberately denied the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine and thus indirectly justified the aggressive actions of the Russian Federation”.

According to G.Landsbergis, the participation of F.Kirkorov in concerts in Crimea “substantially damages the national security of Lithuania”.
