Anger at Lukashenko’s provocations: borders can be closed on both sides

“I think it is a provocation, without a specific reason. The authorities of some countries simply forget that there is a mirror principle in international relations: borders can be closed from both sides,” said the president.

The presidents agreed to meet live in late November, following the Lithuanian Seimas elections.

Mr. Lukashenko ordered the closure of the western border with the EU countries Lithuania and Poland. He said this in Minsk on Thursday night, the state news agency Belta reported. In addition, border protection with Ukraine has been strengthened.
