An urn with the remains of the musician Arvydas Paltinas arrived in Lithuania: the farewell is scheduled

When the remains of A. Paltinas arrived in Lithuania, a farewell was already planned. The funeral will take place on March 16, reports lrt.lt.

A. Paltinas will be buried with his wife at the Vilnius Antakalnis Cemetery on Artists’ Hill.

“Without a doubt, the cemetery is for two,” Arūnas Peškaitis, a priest and close friend of the famous couple, told Delfi in February.

A. Paltin was hospitalized in late January.

“Arvydas was admitted to the hospital three days ago due to pneumonia. Then the sepsis began, an artificial coma was introduced. Last year, the husband survived the loss of his wife, singer Nelly Paltinienė.

N. Paltinienė, 91, breathed his last at his home in Mannheim, Germany, on February 29. Even before her death, the singer expressed her wish to be buried in Lithuania, which she loved with all her heart.

This time, A. Peškaitis said that Nelly’s husband, who was going through a painful loss, managed not to break down and handled the difficulties firmly.

“It just came to our attention then. It is clear that this is a great shock, a blow; after all, they have been together for 57 years. However, he got the impression that he had mobilized, as he was now processing documents about transporting his remains to Lithuania. Of course, friends also help him, “said the interlocutor.

Delfi recalls that N. Paltinienė, who spent the last years of her life in Germany, was treated for complicated cold complications. But even as he lay on a sickbed, he did not lose optimism, he interacted with colleagues, family, and continued to remember those who attended his concerts.
