According to Lrt.lt, the husband’s farewell will take place at the funeral home near St. Peter and Paul Church (MK Paco str. 4, Vilnius) on Tuesday March 16, starting at 10 a.m. until 1 pm
We remind you that the priest Karolis Petravičius, who was interviewed a little earlier by the tv3.lt news portal, said that his friendship with Nelly and Arvydas Paltinai began several decades ago, when he came to listen to their concerts with other seminary students.
“The circumstances of the acquaintance were very simple: we met a few decades ago, when Nelė and Arvydas took a very active part in the activities of the concert, one of their concerts in Telšiai.
Several of my colleagues and I attended a seminary for priests, we were clergymen and we attended their concerts. We talked to them a little bit and bit during those concert encounters and there was such a close connection.
The acquaintance was very simple, human, as was all his communication. They let us into their lives. They just conveyed sincerity and that friendship was really sincere with us, ”says K. Petravičius, lamenting.
Life happened again
According to a family friend, Arvydas has always been right, in a way a bit stubborn. He was always very responsible, but also fatherly, loving and his morals were of the highest level.
“Both Arvydas and Nelė were special people for their kindness and simplicity. Sometimes it didn’t work; I thank fate for allowing the average person to touch such great people. Arvydas didn’t speak much, but when he said it, you felt his authenticity and dedication, ”says the priest sensitively.
Until the last moment of his life, Arvydas lived with creativity, memories, music, and hoped to touch it with his own hands.
“Five years ago, Nelly Paltinienė, a brilliant memory, gave me her microphone. Well, and now, just before Christmas, his entire recording studio from Germany has arrived. When Arvydas packed everything, he still left an instrument. He said, “Maybe I’ll join him too,” and … it’s very difficult to speak,
Arvydas spent a lot of time every day talking to the writer Irma Laužikaitė, who writes a book about Nelly, and she seemed to have relived her life:
“It is something very important to me that Arvydas has gone through her whole life again – I. Laužikaitė called him every 2-3 hours every day and read her a book, because she also wanted to hear the opinion of the most important reader – Arvydas. He experienced that biography very sensitively, as if it were all over again. It is interesting that in that book there were new things for Arvydas himself that he did not know. “
Eternal love
According to K. Petravičius, it is still difficult for friends to believe that Arvydas no longer exists.
“We communicated closely and now Arvydas’s two biggest concerns were publishing that book and creating a monument on Antakalnis Artists’ Hill. He was very active in the search for the monument. We have asked one or another artist, a sculptor, what that monument should be. They sent us samples, but Arvydas said no, it’s not right, that Nele should be honored with a different monument.
He did not stop loving Nelė until the last moment. His love is eternal: 60 years. It really is an inspiring beacon for everyone. Everything was in their lives. They really were like a rock. It was an example of true love. They swore before God to love before death and even after death. Arvydas really didn’t stop loving her. Her tutor Irena said that Arvydas shared memories of Nelly often, ”says the priest.
It can be said that Arvydas lived a full life until the last moment: on Wednesday he was still out for a walk and on Thursday the temperature rose.
“The doctors arrived on Friday and on Saturday they were taken by ambulance to the hospital, directly to the intensive care unit. The result was that the pneumonia caused septic shock. The doctors initially gave hope, and on the morning of the disaster they said that the situation in Arvydas was difficult, and in the afternoon, around 5 in the afternoon, we received the news that he had gone to Eternity ”, says the priest. , and add:
“It seems that his age was great, but the years were not a sin. We also hoped that he would be at the book launch and see the monument to Nele. But now they are in Eternity and their love has been reunited.”
