Basketball players on the Oregon state team began training last week, and Sunday was scheduled to become the first day of full practice.
However, the plans were thwarted by a coronavirus found in anonymous members of the Trail Blazers Club.
This forced the Portland team leaders to temporarily close the training center for security reasons. It is not yet known when the team will continue training.
Interestingly, the Blazers are already looking forward to the first friendly against the Sacramento Kings on Friday. They must be broadcast on national television ESPN. It is not yet clear whether the Portland team will ask for this meeting to be postponed.
The NBA League warned its clubs on Saturday that those who irresponsibly allow the spread of the coronavirus will be punished not only with huge fines, but also by depriving future rookies of the stock market.
A survey of nearly all NBA basketball players last week found that nearly one-tenth of those surveyed carried the virus, a total of 48 players.
The official start of the NBA season will be on December 22.
