An isolated member of the Lithuanian national team conducted another COVID-19 test – two different results in two days

The Lithuanian soccer team departed for Estonia, where they will play a control match with the Estonian team on 7 October. Only upon arrival, all the players, coaches and staff of the national team were tested for COVID-19, the results of which will be announced in the near future.

On October 5, the Lithuanian national youth team under 21 also met at the training ground. All equipment was tested for COVID-19 today. All equipment tests are negative.

COVID-19 testing of the men’s national soccer team on October 5 revealed that there was a positive COVID-19 test result on the national team. The coronavirus was identified in the defender of the national team Dominykus Barauskas.

On October 6, the footballer performed a new test with a negative result. The player remains in self-isolation and will be retested after one week.

On October 7, COVID-19 tests will be conducted for Vilnius Knights team members. After receiving their results, it will be decided what further actions to take for this and other A league clubs.
