On a sunny Wednesday afternoon, disaster struck in the Kaunas district, Ringaudai. According to preliminary data, a gas cylinder exploded in the house and a fire broke out. The owner needed medical help.
As reported by the General Assistance Center, on April 7 at 5:46 p.m. received a message that Kaunas d. Ringaudų sen., Ringaudų k. Žvejų st. a gas cylinder exploded in the house, the residential house burned with open fire.
The special services (Kaunas fire and rescuers, police and ambulances) were immediately dispatched to the scene of the disaster.
An hour later, a firefighter at the scene, who had been in contact with journalists from the portal for an hour, said that the fire had already been put out, but experts explained what had caused the fire.
“We have not yet found any gas cylinder that explodes, so we are waiting for gas operators and other specialists to explain the cause of the fire,” the firefighter said.

He confirmed that a man, the owner of the house, had been affected by the fire.
“The doctors give him first aid on the spot, bandage his hands and head,” explained the interviewee.
The guard at the Kaunas ambulance station told the kauno.diena.lt portal that the 79-year-old owner of the house, who was injured in the fire, was transferred to the Kaunas clinics.
Up to five fire rescue tanker trucks and a staff car were used to douse the tongues of the flames.
