This message was confirmed by the Mayor of Delfi from the Ignalina District Municipality, Justas Rasikas.
The fugitive was arrested a few weeks ago along with three other Afghans while illegally crossing the state border with Belarus in the Ignalina district.
After all the coronavirus tests, one of the detainees was found to have a COVID of 19. The other three did not develop coronavirus.
According to the mayor, the municipality was forced to house and feed the four illegal residents in specially designed self-isolation premises.
The SBGS took over the protection of the illegally detained.
The circumstances in which the patient has disappeared are still being explained.
Residents are asked to be careful, and if they notice a suspicious person, immediately inform the police by calling the General Emergency Help Line 112.
