According to Kaunas County Police, officers with the Immunity Board’s Corruption Investigation Division temporarily detained the 1983 Alytus Police Investigator.

During the pre-trial investigation, the official was charged with bribery and abuse, and was removed from his post on Wednesday.

The probation measures imposed on the officer are a written commitment not to leave and the seizure of the document.

The pre-trial investigation is led by prosecutors from the Organized Crime and Corruption Investigation Division of the Kaunas Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
