“We hope that in the future we will have a covered soccer field,” Nerijus Cesiulis, mayor of Alytus City Municipality, said this week at the Alytus County Football Federation stadium.
According to the mayor, the issue of the construction site of such a move will be discussed at the council meeting in August. Three possible suitable sites for the construction of this maneuver are already being considered.
According to N. Cesiulis, when choosing a place, it is taken into account that they have easy access, that the place is as close as possible to children, that public transport passes through them.
Part of the funds would be allocated for the construction of this maneuver by the municipality, another part by the Lithuanian Football Federation and the other part by the partners that would be sought.
