“Patriotism is not a feeling but an action, and shooters are one of the most beautiful examples of patriotism. Therefore, I am pleased that the Lithuanian Rifle Union has gone through a stage of renewal and strengthening for the past four years, ”said R. Karoblis in the report.
According to him, the speed of the riflemen has increased to 12,000, the average age of union members is approximately 40 years, the speed of the young riflemen is increasing and the combat rifles are being strengthened.
At the ceremony, the Minister thanked G. Koryzna for his leadership in strengthening the shooters and presented the National Defense System Medal “For distinction”.
At that time, A.Dapkus, addressing the shooters, emphasized that what unites all members of the organization (uniforms, signs, culture, historical memory and ideology) will continue to be protected.
“I hope that together we will do significant work for the benefit of the Homeland and that together we can enjoy the results of our work,” said A. Dapkus in the report.
On the day of the change of commander of the Lithuanian Rifle Union, some 20 riflemen were sworn in to the Republic of Lithuania.
In turn, G. Koryzna awarded the shooters deserving awards for their exemplary shooting activities and services to Lithuania.
