According to Akvilė’s mother, Aistė Bružaitė, her entire family is musical. Aistė herself is a music teacher, doctor of art and has played kankle since childhood, her husband Egidijus, in Birby and conductor, is the conductor and principal conductor of the Lithuanian Army Orchestra, and her older brother Lukas also followed the steps of his younger sister.

Aistė says that Akvilė is very receptive, learns fast, would like to always lead everything, is communicative and loves to communicate.
“She is very proactive, participates in various activities, energetic. Aquila likes to be aware of herself, to play; she is not the type that would like phones or tablets. She needs to act!” Says Aistė.
A record that has not yet been in Lithuania
“We have been acting and working in pedagogical works related to music all our life, together with my husband we are associate professors at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, so children grow up with music; love for her comes completely natural.
Akvilė has been singing since the early days, so we decided to take her to the music teacher Sonatas Kudžmienė. My daughter really enjoyed singing and had a blast! This concert in Aquila became a record, and we played with the whole family, we had many concerts in a few years.
It is true that the very idea of setting a record was very unexpected for us (Serie). It was a real surprise because we didn’t have that goal. We are simply enjoying our musical daughter, her concerts, the talent of her Sonata music teacher; the teacher is very dedicated to her work and initiates various events and concerts, encourages participation in them, ”says Aistė.

He adds that initially Aquila’s concert was organized with the idea of showing how many songs he knows, and in fact many, even 11! They all sounded (and more) in a record recital.
The idea that the songs performed by the five-year-old Akvil y and the concert itself could claim a record came to the head of the president of the Music Union, Professor Audrone Žygaityte-Nekrošienė.
“She accidentally asked me if we would like to record this concert as an album. I replied that I did not know how this was done (Serie). So we are grateful to him for his help, especially since there was no such registry in Lithuania, ”says Aistė.
There is not a drop of fear on stage
Akvilė’s mother says that her daughter is not afraid of the stage and probably still does not understand what it is: “We want everything to be natural, it is like that, the daughter goes out and sings, enjoys it and we are happy about it. And about the meaning of the record, I think that he will only find out when he is older, because now he does not understand what happened here.
When television came to speak to her, he tried to ask her about music, but her daughter was still young and her main response was “I always sing!” Later, I asked him if he liked to sing at the recital. I liked! ”Laughs Aistė.

Akvilė began to learn to sing professionally at the age of three, then her parents took her to the teacher. However, the mother realizes that only when she began to speak did the daughter begin to snort, so singing is no longer an integral part of her personality from the early days.
“Sing all day every day. Now is the age when your daughter likes to listen to a wide variety of music, but is more interested in what is popular, such as songs in English. She is so attractive, so attractive! ”Says Aistė.
Akvilė is currently testing himself in various genres, he not only likes Lithuanian folk songs, but he is happy to sing Ella Fitzgerald’s songs. As the mother says, let her daughter do what she likes, and in time, the girl will discover what matters most to her.
Akvilė doesn’t have one of her favorite songs either: “Her favorite songs are changing, one at a time, another to the other, but we found that she tends to be more energetic, fun and fast. His voice is strong, his character is also cheeky, so he chooses the songs according to his style ”, laughs his mother.
Luke, Luke’s older brother, also started making music, although he wasn’t very impressed at first. However, as the mother says, the son also has talent: he sneezes, sings, intons.
“I think his leg was shaking because of his shyness, his modesty, but from September, when he went to the same music teacher, he began to sing. Apparently, the sister’s music also plays a role, ”says Aistė, making sure that in the future the children will choose a musical instrument.
Everybody needs the music
Aistė says that the path of a musician is not easy, but if children choose to connect their lives with music in the future, she and her husband would wholeheartedly support them. “There is an enormous amount of work to do, but it is very exciting! I think children will choose for themselves what they will do in their lives ”, says the musician.
When asked about the importance of music for children, Aistė says it could say a lot. “Music is very necessary for children, it gives a lot. It is also the development of will, the stage experience, self-confidence, memory training. Music won’t really confuse anyone; it’s just a plus, of course, and more work, but it’s more useful (Serie).
I myself, as a music teacher and musician, would recommend everyone to play music at least a little, even for those who do not plan to associate life with it, for their education, for themselves, for their emotional intelligence. Music is totally useful “, – Aistė concludes the conversation.
