Panevėžys “Lietkabelis” team won the European Cup, but lost the opportunity to move on.
Nenado Chanako’s students at home 77:69 (20:20, 19:17, 18:20, 20:12) broke the MoraBanc basketball players of Andorra.
Lietkabelis had to win by more than 11 points.

However, the opponents came within five points in the penultimate minute of the match and did not scratch the required lead in the remaining 80 seconds.
In the first three halves, the leading team changed three times and neither had an advantage of more than five points.
Lietkabelis’ team still has one match left from the European Cup group stage and will play it against club AS Monaco in Monaco.
