After the loss of the match to Panevėžys, LKL champion strategist Martinas Schiller was not satisfied with the team’s struggle.

“It took me 30 minutes to get the level of combat needed from the players. That was the problem.

I think Lietkabelis played very hard, they loved the balls that we passed very well. The opposing players were actively working with their hands and were physically strong.

It took us 30 minutes to adapt to that, but it can’t be, ”said the coach.

He explained why rookie Emmanuel Mudiay played less this day: “He was vaccinated this morning, so I took him out of the game prematurely.”

The coach appreciated the play of Latvian Janis Strelniekis, who made his team debut. “He played quite well, he didn’t play for a month so he needs to get back on track. All things considered, I’m happy he’s back online,” said the Austrian.

Asked whether Lukas Lekavičius, who scored 14 points, would be an important person in attack, the manager was laconic throughout the season: “Yes, it will have to be that way.”
