“It just came to our attention then. It was a very intense job, but also a very dear one. I am a curious person and a reader, so I spent the whole week preparing for quizzes with interesting information to keep alive and exciting on Sunday morning. extremely grateful to listeners for their love, for asking them to call and write, ”says B. Lukošiūtė, who has been creating and broadcasting the” Aunt Beta’s Quiz “for more than two decades on LRT RADIO live air.

“With the television and radio programs directed by Teta Beta, several generations have grown up in Lithuania. Aunt Beta is known and remembered even by those who have not read fairy tales and cartoons for a long time. Saying goodbye is always a little sad, and when we said goodbye to Aunt Beta, we said goodbye to an entire era. In fact, the shows presented by Tía Beta had become a real phenomenon, gathering crowds of children on television screens and later on the radio. We thank Bernadeta for all the years she has been with us, for the care and warmth she shared in the education of our little ones, ”says Monika Garbačiauskaitė-Budrienė, director of LRT.

Bernadeta Lukošiūtė, who was working as a radio announcer, began broadcasting children’s programs on Lithuanian television in 1975, when the program “Good evening, children” was broadcast. Later, Aunt Beta presented the television program Labanaktukas.
